YES! The article states that on December 29,2005 4 teenage boys from Chicago went out for a late night drive. They had a terrible accident. After the accident thousands of people wondered if teenagers should be 18 to drive.
NO! The article states that if your neighbors robs a bank should they go to jail? NO. If your class mate gets in an accident should your drivers license to be taken away. This country we live by the principal innocent until proven guilty.
So do you think that that people should be 18 to drive. The article states that on December 29,2005 4 teenage. States that if your neighbors rods a bank should they go to jail. These are all things that they should say if your in the middle of getting your license taken.
I’m going to talk about teen and getting there license. I’ve read two stories. I’m going to tell you a short summary of what I think that’s important to me. So I hope you like it.
YES: I think that if your do good on your driving test you should get you license. It states in the article that young people look forward to from the time they first ride in a car to getting their drivers license. A license can mean freedom trust me I mean freedom if you no what I mean. Teens pay a heavy price for freedom.
No: I also think that they should not let crazy people on the road. The article also states that according to American Automobile Association (AAA). That teens account for only 7 percent of the drivers on the road ,but they are involved 20 percent of all accidents.
So I would like to know what you think? So the next time think about weather teenagers should drive think about. Thanks for listening to me.

Should The Driving Age Be Raised To18?
Yes, but at the same time no. The fact is that there are a lot of deaths but why take it out on already mature drivers at the age of 17 I mean come on would 18 year old have to retake the test to? Is it fair to anyone?
This is a point of view from someone who wants to have the age limit raised. On December 29, 2005, four teenage boys from Chicago went out for a late night drive and had a terrible accident. This is why he wants the age limit up. Two boys, a 16 year old and a 17 year old, the driver was 16.
This was the point of view from someone else but this time they said no. If your neighbor robbed a bank should you go to jail for it? If your friends in an accident should you lose your license? Of course not. Neither situation is fair. Raising the driving age will punish all young drivers for the mistakes of a few of their peers.
Both of these arguments are a good point. One says no but one says yes. I harder to argue in good point it’s not like a walk in the park. Like they the person with the statement of yes and the person with a no statement should have said is either way be safe and watch out.
I think we need GDLS just not have it on a time limit and teach them a step or two. But I say yes somewhat we need GDLS. There a lot of arguments on wither to keep it or no but I think they will help some.
26 states have adopted the GLDS. 6 of those states pass new GLD laws each year. There are downsides though to GLDS adults won’t be able to drive so the ones who made the rule just got there idea turned against them.
But here are some reasons why I don’t like GLDS. Reason one is because according to the AAA teens account for only 7% of drivers on the road that is just sad that kids are always blamed I mean come on are we just fish food or do we actually get a say but I’m not going into a different subject. Many opponents question the effective ness of a GLD is that good for America to be questioned for a mistake they made by creating the GLD?
It is also thought that GLDS will increase accident rating by making it to where they can only drive certain hours you could only allow them to drive on rush hour them bam there’s a crash. Or at night hits a deer there you go any time of day is dangerous and it’s even more risky because they haven’t been thought only just said there you go drive only this time. One last thing teens with licenses aren’t a bad thing because they think about it until there are 16 so don’t make them in even more pain.
What do you think should we keep GLDS or no? I have not to answer that question but I leave the questioning to you. People will always have an open mind but I think GLDS could help if a few rules were changed though.

Do you think driving ages should be raised to 18?
Yes/No drivers of the United States we have had many accidents in the past years. And now people say we should raise the driving ages. But that’s the government’s decision.
Yes driving ages should be raised to 18, because most accidents that happen are teen related. On Dec 29 2005 four teenage boys from Chicago went out for a late night drive and had a terrible accident. The car spun out of control and struck several objects, including a giant light pole. That’s why we should make the driving age 18.
No I do not think they should make it 18 the driving age. If your neighbor robs a bank, should you go to jail? No. if your classmate gets in an accident, should your driver’s license be taken away? Of course not neither situation is fair.
So stop arguing about this situation. Why don’t we leave it simple and not fight about this. It does not matter what people think if you think they should raise the driving age fine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do teens need guarantied license?
Yes I think teens need a guaranteed license, because most teens have been killed because of car accidents. So I think they should have a guaranteed license.
In the article it says that teens need time to learn. I agree because most car accidents are teen related. But they do need time to learn so practice makes perfect.
The no side states that GDLS don’t work. But they do work because they should make them wait till 18. And in that time study a lot of driving books so they are ready.
But hold everything the article says that (AAA) has the power to do that. So why not do that I don’t get it. But many teens don’t have little road experience that means more wrecks doesn’t it.
So teens why don’t you wait until your 18. To get your driver license. Because the United States does not need any more teens killed in car accidents so please wait?

Do you think that the government should change the age of when your kids can start driving to 18. Some parents think that they should because their child or children are too irresponsible, they don’t want them to get into an accident, or even killed. And some don’t really care as long they don’t want them to get hurt or if they are responsible enough.
Yes some parents want this to happen but it’s just to keep their kids safe. On line 2 it talks about how four boys went out for a late night drive and had terrible accident the car hit almost everything in the road. Two of them died one 16 the driver and one 17 the ages of the other two were not stated. But that’s how bad driving can be at a young age.
No just because one teen gets into an accident doesn’t mean you take away all teens driving freedoms. In this country we live by the principle “innocent until proven guilty.” This just means when people get to be 18 they won’t know how to drive and it will just be the same as it is now.
If your neighbor robs a bank should you go to jail for it no. But if you’re driving unsafe should you go to jail then yes. So drive safe but try to wait till you’re older for your parents.
______________________________________________________________________________
Did you know that teens are made up of 20% of car accidents today in the U.S.? But only 7% of drivers are teens. So can you guess why because most teens don’t have all the road experience that is needed.
Personally I think that GDLs are a good idea. I think that 16 year olds should have to take a number of tests before they are able to drive. Then when they are allowed to get their license they have to take a lot more tests. And their parents should have to help teach them.
I think that changing the driving age to 18 is truly dumb. Because when they get to the age 18 they will still not know how to drive and it will be exactly the same. Plus it takes away a lot of teen’s rights.
I think that GLDs are the best thing ever. And changing the age is just plain dumb. That’s my opinion what’s yours.

Do Driving Ages Need To Be Raised? Every day, people die. Some die from old age. Others die from some deadly disease. But some die from car crashes! And half of the crashes are from inexperienced teens. Would raising the age on teen getting their licenses help?
17 year old Lauren Dawson was driving to Sweetwater, T.N. with her little sister, Megan Dawson, and her boyfriend, Josh. It was dark and rainy, and Lauren did not have much experience with slick gravel curves. She drove around the curve and the car’s wheels started spinning on the road. She tried to correct it, but she over-corrected, lost all control over the car, and the car started spinning in circles. The car smashed into 4 trees, which broke Josh’s seat and he fell back, pushing her little sister into the other seat, and breaking the window with his head. He was knocked out from the blow. The car finally crashed into a huge dich! Lauren called 911 for help and, thankfully, all 3 people walked away without any broken bones. (Although Josh was taken to the hospital.) Should Lauren not of received her license for one more year? Would that have prevented that horrible, horrible accident?
Lauren did not have the experience of an older driver. But was that really her fault? She didn’t do anything wrong. She tried to fix it. So should she be punished? Like the article says, most teens are inexperienced drivers. They need cars for school, work, and other things just as you would need cars.
But, on the other hand, she was given the option to stay home. And, like I said before, she did not have much experience with slick, gravel curves. Every day more and more lives are claimed by inexperienced teen drivers.
So in conclusion, inexperienced teen driving cars can lead to disaster. But teens need cars just as much as you do. Imagine going a whole month without a car. Could you survive it? Well, that is what you will be doing to these teens.
Which would work better, raising license ages or making teens get “Graduated Licenses.” I would say making teens get graduated licenses. What do you say?
Ok, firstly raising teens license ages might not even work. I mean think about it, if you take one 18 year old kid whose license age has been moved up, and another 18 year old kid who got a graduated license, which 18 year old is going to drive safer and have more road experience? Of course it will be teen who took the graduated license program.
I mean, when teens get on the road with their age raised to 18, car crashes are just going to happen all over again! And the reason it will happen again is because, unlike the kids who participated in the graduated license program, they have zero experience. So raising license ages won’t do anything, it will just put the teens in an awkward position where they have to be drove around by their parents.
So today, we learned that inexperienced teens driving is not a good idea. More and more people are being killed by teens driving. And there are two ways people say that can prevent it. What do you think would work better?

Should the driving age be increased to 18? Many teens are getting seriously injured or even having deaths, but on the other side, teenagers need their freedom. So does that mean we should raise them or leave them the same?
Yes, many teenagers are getting into wrecks. It even states in the article, ”On December 29, 2005 four boys from Chicago went out for a late night drive, when the car spun out of control. Two of the boys, one 16 and one 17, had died.” After the accident, thousands of people questioned what could be done to prevent this. And they thought that they had figured out a way.
No, teenagers need to be able to go meet up with their friends and have a wonderful time just being free. In lines 24-25, the prompt says, ‘’If your neighbor robs a bank, should you go to jail? Of course not! So why should one accident lead to teenagers not being able to drive until they’re 18?”
Should we really take their only connection to the outside world away? Should we raise it up so that there are not as many accidents? Whatever happens, I’m pretty sure that every teenager’s parents want them to be safe while still being free.
Should teens have to wait to be 18 and have a GDL? No! Teenagers need to be free and learn how to be responsible. Most parents don’t want to have to drag along their kids everywhere they need to go.
An event to look forward to, is how some teens describe the day they get their license. Teens need to have freedom and stop bothering their parents. Many teens get into wrecks and it is bad, but there is nothing we can do about it except let them make more mistakes so that they learn better. There is something that is holding them back. A GDL! In the article it says,” Some GDLs allow 16-year-olds to drive only in certain daylight hours.”
“A license can mean freedom to get around without having to get a ride.” Says the article. Getting a GDL will just reduce the amount of TEENS on the road, not the amount of accidents. What about when these teens are older, they will not be any better at driving than they were. The GDLs might help a little bit, but they are not going to make as big an impact that some people think they are.
GDLs may work. They also may not. What if they are just a waste of time? We will know in the future, but right now teenagers need to be just a little bit more careful on the road while still being free.

Age 18 is when you become an adult. It is also the age people think it should be raised to get a driver’s license. So does John D’ Amico, of the Representative also as its states in the passage. Here are some of his reasons why it should be raised from 16 to 18.
As it said on lines 11, 12, 13, All 50 states prohibit 16-year-olds from drinking alcohol, buying cigarettes, and purchasing handguns. Yet somehow most states are willing to put them in charge of a car, which could potentially be a deadly weapon. This should definitely be put on YES side.
As it says on lines 8, 9, 10 the answer is raising the driving age. That is why I introduced legislation to raise the driving age from 16 to 18. I realize this idea is controversial, but I could not stand by and watch one younger person die because he or she was not quite ready to be behind the wheel
In conclusion of the passage John D’ Amico wants to raise the driving age from 16 to 18.
You all are in your teen’s right? Well I Alex Koroknay _Palicz thinks so also. Here are some reasons why I think no. These are my own opinions.
As it says in lines 27, 28, 29, and 30 in this country we live by the principle of innocent until proven guilty. Those who want to raise the driving age have labeled teens guilty before they have gotten into an accident or before they have gotten into a car. They believe that just because of you birth date, you are dangerous and must be punished by not being able to drive.
Also as it say in lines 33, 34, and 35 what they do not say is 77 percent of men are more likely to get into an accident. So why do they not just raise the driving age for men.
In conclusion this is what Alex thinks.
I am only 11, but I want to learn to learn to drive somewhat soon and if people are wanting to raise the age on driving I will not going to be able to do that. So I want to them to raise the age of driving age from 16 to 18.
As it says in the NO side of the passage 77 percent of men will more likely to get in an accident than women. See it is not even the most women who get into the accidents it is the men. I knew men were worse drivers than women.
Also it says that people are labeling people guilty of being in an accident before they even step into a car. People should not judge people like that. That is just mean.
In conclusion I think they should not raise the driving age.

Should There Be an New Driving Age
Some people think that children under the age 18 should not have a driver’s license and some do not.
Kids dies from driving. It can be really sad. The article states between 1995 and 2004 there were 30917 children were killed. When a kid dies people start to take a stand.
Yes, kid die in car crashes, but not all of them die. Adults crash cars to, but they do not get their license took away. Just because someone else messes up does not mean you will. The article says that if you’re dangerous you well get your license took away.
People have opinions on both. They may not get what they wanted, but teens will be fine either way teens well be fine
________________________________________________________
I think gradation licenses are a better idea than being 18 to drive .The kids 16 have jobs and things like that. Just like adults. They need cars.
You need a license are going to drive. You dive to the store, work, and for kids school. Kids drive to work and jobs like adults do. Everyone has many accident, but does not mean take away their licenses.
Graduation licenses are going to be easier. Kids can take them at school or drive them to the class. They could be better
Graduation licenses will better. If you do not have a car you cannot go anywhere.

Do you think the driving age should be raised to 18?
Yes, a lot of teens today want to drive and be free. But some are not ready to drive and be free. I know that a lot of teens are very responsible and will obey the rules of the road but people are not going to risk their child’s life just so they can drive. In the article lines 14 thru 17 it states that between 1995 and 2004 there were 30,917 fatalities in accidents that involved 15 t0 17 year-old drivers, according to a study by the AAA Foundation for traffic safety About a third of those deaths were the teen drivers themselves.
As the article states All 50 states prohibit 16 year-olds from buying alcohol, cigarettes, and purchasing handguns. But that does not mean that they are not going to figure out some way to buy them. And some day one of these teens are going to mess up and drive drunk. They might cost someone their life.
Teens should not be able to be behind the wheel until they are 18. In the article it says As a Illinois’ cannot sit back and watch more innocent lives because of lack of experience.
________________________________________________________
SHOULD THERE BE A NEW DRIVING AGE?
No, I do not think they need a new driving age. Many people have gone years without a new age to drive. Why should we start now? The article states that in this country we live by the principle of innocent until proven guilty. Those who want to raise the driving age have labeled teens guilty before they have gotten into an accident or before they have even stepped into a car. They believe that just because of your birth date, you are dangerous and must be punished by having your ability to drive taken from you.
In the article it states that what they say in statistics also show that men of all ages are 77 percent more likely to kill someone while driving than a women. If people want to save lives by raising the driving age then how about saving lives by allowing only women to drive?
In conclusion I do not think that the driving age should be raised to 18.There are going to be wrecks teens or not. So it does not matter what the age is.

DRIVERS LICENSES ………
Ok I mean seriously why you let people drive at a miner age. I mean I would only let a miner drive if he or she had license or potential. Am I right or what cops should at least watch the miner drive?
Ok if you knew a kid and you see him driving and you were a cop but he was a miner what would you do pull him over or watch how he drives and if he does good then get him to get his drivers licenses.. I would I no its against the law but you watched him am I right well ok now its time for phase 2. Well no really.
Ok so now where we start oh yea this is my decision of the statement. Ok so I think that you should wait until your 18 to become a driver. Because what if you get caught driving that means suspended drivers licenses. So no driving until 19 so you don’t want that do you nope didn’t think so.
__________________________________________________________________
So now what if you go to college or something then you get your licenses but you need to really be careful because you never no what’s out there. Do you nope you don’t I don’t but I’m willing to do research to no that’s why I’m telling you now. So be careful because if you don’t your going to have a bad accident ok so be careful and good lucK
Ok now hopefully you got your drivers licenses. Because if you missed it don’t be angry you can get it next time. I bet you could get it and I don’t bet but ok first thing first you need to learn the basics. Ok do you no what a stop sign is hopefully you do. Because I do and almost a 2 year old could no it so you can right well that’s good now next thing Is you should always look out for big truck well looks like you got by the way good job.
So how do you think your going to do. I think your going to do the best that you’ve ever done. So good luck and you should do good and other things you got every thing behind you so put it all behind you and concentrate ok
Well it looks like you’ve got the other hand now. So good luck and hopefully you make it tell me if you do if you don’t then better luck next time. Right that was a lot of typing to so I’mC going to go rest now so bye.

Should the driving age be raised to18? On one hand the driving age right now is really low considering how many wrecks there have been and how many deaths there have been but, on the other hand teens shouldn’t have their license taken away because if you wait until 18 there going to be less experienced drivers because when there 16 they have more time to learn how to drive.
Yes driving ages should be raised to18. One reason is that there’s been over 30,000 accidents have happened with teenagers driving cars. In 2005 four boys in Chicago went for a night drive they spun out of control the car hit a light pole and a 16 year old and a 17 year old died on impact.
No driving ages should not change. One thing is that they won’t be experienced drivers because they didn’t have time to practice driving. Another thing is men have a 77 percent chance of wrecking than women what are you going to do only let women drive.
The choice is up to you what do you think they should do. Do you think that they need to raise the driving age to 18. Or do you think they should keep it at 16.
GDLs because it would be better to have more experience than to just get on the road for the first time and possibly wreck right off the bat you have to ease in to driving because if you don’t then well let’s just say it isn’t going to be pretty.
If you waited till 18 to drive you get to unexperienced and then we’ll have problems a lot of problems. The way I see it is that when you are 16 you learn more so that when you are 18 you will have driving down pat.
It is like if you didn’t start playing basketball or baseball or soccer or football when you were little then you would not be good at it when you get older. If you think I am done talking to you then you are way off because maybe in seven sentences I am done but not now. Right now there’s about 30,000 teenaged drivers in the United States are accident free.
So you can trust us with GDLs. Because we will take care of ourselves and you don’t need to have unexperienced 18 year old drivers. We can handle ourselves with this problem.

Do you think the driving age should be raised from 16 to 18? No, I think they shouldn’t increase the driving age. It’s not everyone’s fault some people are having accidents.
If people raise the age for driving licenses, 16 –year-olds , if they have jobs they won’t be able to get there without having someone drive them there. Some people want to learn to drive, and they can’t without a driver’s license. That is why the driver’s license shouldn’t be raised.
Except raising the driving age is that statistics also show that men of all ages are 77 percent more likely to kill someone while driving than women. If people want to save lives by raising the driving age, then how about saving lives by allowing only women to drive?

Do you thank that you should drive at the age 18? 15 – 17 should not drive till they are 18 or 19 because there is too many accidents done the day you get bake in the new car. They are not old enough to dive anywhere for their mom, dad or grandmother nobody should let their child drive.
Between 1995 and 2004 there was 30 917 fatalities in accident that involved 15-17 year old drivers, according to a study by the AAA Foundation for traffic safety about a third of those deaths were teen driving themselves. The rest were pedestrians, passengers, and people in cars that teenage drivers struck.
If your neighbor robs a bank, should you go to? NO. If your classmate gets in an accident, should your license get taken away? Of course not. Neither situation is fay that you will. Raising the driving age will punish all young drivers for the mistakes of a few of their peers.
So all teen and their friends should be at least 19 or 20 and above to drive a car or a truck to a place and they should have license if you don’t 95% say that you are going to jail to have a little time
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I thank that they should participating in a graduated licenses because they need time to learn how and what there about driving a car or any other type of vehicle and they need to learn how to use the gear shifter and what the right speed to drive in and how to drive the car. It is an event that maybe young people look forward to from the time they first ride in a car getting their drive licenses. A license can mean the freedom to get around without having to get a ride. But some teens pay a heavy price for that freedom.
According to the N. H. T. S. A., States USING GDL have a 5 to 15 percent drop in teen accident. That GDL supporters say is an argument for GDL. People say that GDLS may events that help teens get kill in a car.

Do you think they should lower the age to get a driver’s? Some will say no and some will say yes. What do you think they should do abought the driver’s license. Now should they raise the age from 16 to 18 yes or no.
The article stats on December 29, 2005 four teenage boys from Chicago went out for a late night drive and had a terrible accident. Two of the boys a 16 year old and 17 year old were killed. All 50 states prohibit 16 year old from drinking alcohol buying handguns. But they will put a 16 year old in charge of a car. These people say yes.
If your neighbor robs a bank should you go to jail? No. If your friend gets in an accident should your driver’s license get took. These people say no do you say no? Men are 77 percent of the time kill someone. That is what the article says. Teens need the ability to drive.
So do you think the age should be rose to 18? Yes or no should they or should they not? There are a lot of people with road rage.
Do you think teens should have a graduated license? I say no because the teens should get a license because they have to drive to high school. So are you with me or not.
Teens need time to learn. Some people say you need a graduated driver’s license (GDA). Some say they do some say no. So are you with me or not. This is a yes or no not I don’t know. Do you think they should raise the age of driving. We can prevent these crashes.
Teens account for only 7% of drivers on the road. Teens make up 20% of all accidents reported to police. The article says that driving is a privilege, not a right. Yes or no this is important.
This is why I say no. what do you soy?

Should the driving age be raised to 18? Some people say yes. Some say no. I’m going to tell you of two opposing points and let you decide.
One point is that they should because teenagers are crashing because of a lack of experience. The article states that all 50 states have banned 16 year olds from buying guns, alcohol, and cigarettes and still let them drive what could be a deadly weapon.
Now, the opposing side. The writer states that raising the driving age raise is a “if I go down, we all go down,” situation, when one person does something EVERY BODY takes the heat for no reason and age has nothing to do with it. If you raise the age to 18 you’ll only have inexperienced 18 year olds instead of 16 year olds
So, to conclude, the cause of this is a lack of experience, but is raising the age people can be before they can get a license a good idea?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you’re 15 or so and read the last article, and you might be saying “that’s crazy!” but what if there was another way. It’s a graduated driver’s license (GDL)! Getting a GDL can get you the experience you need.
A GDL will teach you all you need to know by giving you more privileges as you drive until you can pass the test.
One drawback is that complicates a lot of your life, but at least you don’t have to wait for your license.

Do you think the driving age be raised? Yes/no? Think about it.
Yes, four teenage boys were driving at night and the driver was only 16. The boy lost control and BOOM!!! The car hit several object including a light post. Two boys, a 16 year old and a 17 year old, died. People started to ask how we could prevent this from happing. The government has already has banished drinking, smoking, and having a handgun. The only thing that we could do is to raise the age.
No, ok say your friend, classmate, or even a family member get in an accident should your driver license be taken away, No. raising the age will be punishing all young drivers and it was not their fault. Just because someone else drove in to a tree or something means that they did not get a good teacher to teach them, and they did not do their job.
Teens need to drive just as much as everyone else. Adults drive in to things to and animals to and 18 year old are going to be the same way. On the other hand teens can be pretty dumb to.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Witch one is it going to be? “Should The Driving Age Be Raised To 18?” or “Do Teens Need Graduated Licenses?”? I say a graduated license.
Teens need more time to learn according to the (AAA) only 7 percent of the drivers are
