1. Yes because it can kill people sould raised it up?
Well it does but no we so not do that ; but why
It not ok for 16 year old to be driving it sould be 17 and up to drive.
It is not good for the age to be 16.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. GDLs is let teens have a licenses prmet it is good that they are do that .
Why is the teens so excited for their licenses?

Should the driving age be raised to 18? No, they should leave the driving age at 16 teen they are trying to take linens away from 16 and 17 year old.
If the child passed the driving test then they are able to drive a vehicle. The article states that if somebody goes to jail so you have to go. They are trying to take away a law that states 16 year olds can have a license.
Just the other day my 18 year old cousin had a bad car wreck and she`s 18.th article says that 4 teenagers were In a car wreck two passengers died and the driver of the car is sixteen. It`s pointless to change the age limit people will have car wrecks and will get hurt.
Teens need driving as much as grownups. They have to drive to school, go to the store or just go do whatever they want.
The article states that in all 50 states that they don`t let 16 year old buy beer, cigarettes, and carry any type of handgun.
Now if I was a parent I would at least want my child to have a knife in the dashboard so they can protect them self-eves if somebody try’s to rob them or something like that. All parents want their kids to be safe and were their seat belts and use their signal lights and look both ways before they pull out of the drive way.
So no they don`t need to raise the driving limit to 18 teen leave it at 15 and 16 so they can keep their job.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, it would help if they would do that it would lower all the teenagers that die from car wrecks.it better than getting your license token away from you.
If teenagers took that class they would be more prepared for the road, but most teenagers are too stubborn to take the class. If the teenagers of America took this class they would be better set for life when they get older
They could tell their grandchildren and other people when they get older. If they’re going to make a class for teenagers thy need to make a class for preteens to teach them about driving so will know what they will be learning about.
Some parents let their kids drive their cars win they are out on back roads and the kids are in danger if they want to drive it not safe for anybody. Most kids get arrested for drunk driving and doing other drugs. They usually don`t care about school after that they tasted the sweet life they think. But not really it`s the life of a crime and drug dealer and no parent wants that at all.
If I was a parent I wouldn't want my kid doing all that stuff it is bad for your body your mind and everything else. If I had kids I would send my kids their they would get a proper education on learning how to drive and about how drunk driving would get you killed and some other people was trying to get it were 16 year old was`t able to have a license and couldn't drive until they were 18.
All the teenagers in the world need this so they will be safer from being in as much danger as they would be if this program didn't happen.

Do you thank the driving age should be raised to 18? I can see both sides of the story. I will tell you why.
The article states on Dec. 29, 2005 4 teenager boys from Chicago went out for a late night drive and had a terrible accident. The car spun out of control and struck several objects including a giant light pole. Two people died.
The article states if your neighbor robs a bank should you go to jail? No if your classmate get in an accident should your license be taken. No is the answer to all this.
So what do you think? Should peoples license be taken or not? You decide.

Yes! I thank the driving age should be moved to 18. Do you thank the driving age should be moved to 18? I do and I will tell you why.
You could get in a wreck and die. The article states six states passed a law you have to have a GDL. More teens die in car accident than anything else.
The article states on Dec. 29, 2005 4 teenager boys from Chicago went out for a late night drive and had a terrible accident. The car spun out of control and struck several objects including a giant light pole. Two people died.
It’s just two more years. I thank if you wait you will drive better. The article states the GDL goes step by step.
The article states teens need time to learn .So what do you think? Should peoples license be taken or not? You decide.

Should they raise the driving age to 18 or not? Here’s why they should and shouldn’t raise the driving age. Which one makes the most sense to take their licenses or let them drive?
Here’s why they should raise the driving age to 18 if they did countless wrecks would be avoided, and safer roads to drive on. It could make the world a better place and not an unsafe driver ridden place.
On Dec 29, 2015 four teenage boys went out for a mid-night drive and wrecked killing 2 and the driver was just 16. All 50 states prohibit 16¬-year olds from drinking, smoking, and buying guns, so you not driving why not make the driving age 18.
Here’s why they should keep the driving age to 16 and not raise it. Teens need to be able to get to school, work, band or sport practice or just drive with friends. If they took driving away from teens they would have no freedom.
Taking away the ability to drive because of one peer wrecking that’s like saying if your neighbor robs a bank should you go to jail? No of course not raising the driving age will punish all teens for only a few teens’ mistakes.
So will they make the age 18 or keep it 16. I hope they will keep it 16 where I can drive to school or work.
Which is more successful raising the driving age to 18 or using the GDL system? I think the GDL system is better, but you never know there might be something better than that.
The GDL system lets drivers gradually earn driving privileges than all at once, some GDLs allow driving only in certain daylight hours, and others require them to drive with adult for a set number of hours.
Already 26 states have adopted the new regulations for teen drivers. GDLs give teens that experience step by step, often with adult supervision. James E said ‘’our current programs don’t teach young people to drive,’’
According to the American Automobile Association (AAA) teens account for only 7 percent of the drivers on the road, but there involved in 20 percent of all accident reported to the police. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Accusation, states using GDLs have a 5 to 15 percent drop in teen accidents.
That’s why I think GDLs are better they give real driving experience to teens and make them better drivers, and make the roads safer for us to drive on. And you don’t need to take their licenses away till there 18, just give them time to learn and they can drive pretty good.

No how about if we have to go to sports ,and school they believe that just because of your birthday ,you are dangerous ,and must be punished by having your ability to drive be taken from you.
Except raising the driving age won’t save lives. According to the text, To go to work, school, or just go with friends ,and raising the driving age will punished by having your ability taken away.
My dad had a bad car wreck and he is 32 year’s old but when you get older that’s when you have a lot more accidents’ than 16 years old and we have to go to get food to take home to eat or drive your mom somewhere.
when she gets old and she can’t drive and you have to take her somewhere. And you have to work out or go out to eat
.
In this country we live by the principle of innocent until proven guilty. Those who favor raising the driving age say that statistics show teenagers are more likely to get into accidents than adults.
And when you got your driving license you no and we need cars when we need to go places.
Yes they should need graduated license but they need to study for the tests and that’s like getting your driving license you have to read a book so you know about the go on green light and stop on red light and so thy will not have a accident on the road ,and die.
That’s like a test you have to do good on the test or you will fail and they will not work at a job so you will get ready for they will learn about the outside world.
So you can get a job and be and be get a good job and you will get better in the real world as teens gain experience, they earn.
more privileges so they can go out more after they get home and get food for the family or go out somewhere but you have to tell your parents first before you leave the .
house so they will know where you are and that’s like on a test you study when you get home and you will do well on the test and that’s why you move up a grade or if it’s like.
---------------------------------------------------
Your last year in the school and you will have do well and not get in trouble so they will get good grades on the tests and you will pass the test and if you do go to.
Colleges and be in the NBA and you will successful and be in the hall of fame and be living in a big house and you can pass that down to your kids.
Todd frank of the nationals motor association complicate the lives of millions of families so and the families certain hours for their children to buy food and get stuff for their families so they won’t have to go out to go pleases and when their parents get old and they can’t drive they will send them pleases or they will drive her around.
And save lives so they will be there with their families and parents so they will get their licenses so they can drive and do stuff or go to school basketball practice or.
Football practice or band practice so they will drive instead having someone to take them so they won’t be going to get them and taking them places or someone will rob them.
Or something will happen so they can drive supports of Graduated say the Graduated saves lives all around the world to save them so they will get a scholarships.

Should The Driving Age Be Raised to 18?
If your neighbor robs a bank, should you go to jail? No if your classmate gets in an accident, should your driver license be take away? Of course not. Both these situations are fair just like taking a license away for a teens inexperience in driving.
No, of course not, teens should not be punished due to mistakes of their fellow peers. Taking licenses away for the amount of wrecks, well listen here men of all ages are 77% more likely to kill someone while driving than women. If people want to save lives by raising the driving age then how about saving lives by letting only women drive.
On the other hand, on December 29, 2005 four teenage boys from Chicago went out for a late-night drive when they had a terrible accident. Their car spun out of control and hit several objects including a giant light post. Two of the boys- a 16 year –old and a 17 year-old were killed. The driver being only 16. Then, the questions started rolling in about how we can prevent this from happening again the answer… raising the driving age to 18. We cannot watch innocent people having their lives taken due to inexperienced, young drivers.
Those who favor raising the driving age say that statistics show that teenagers are more likely to get into accidents than adults. That theory is probably true, but think about it this way teens do not have as much experience as adults. I bet if you went to a sport and it was your first year you would make mistakes. Just like beginner drivers.
Raising the driving age to 18 or needing to receive a graduate license to drive. Teens are more likely to get into a car accident due to the fact they don’t have as much experience as adults.
Graduated Driver’s License (GDL) allow 16 year-olds to receive driving privileges, but they only allow teens to drive during certain daylight hours. What if they need to get somewhere and it is not an assigned hour. They also only allow teens to drive with an adult for a certain amount of daylight hours, until receiving their license. What if they cannot get ahold of an adult they are screwed.
Raising the driving age to 18 isn’t looking to bad, but think this way teenagers need the freedom to drive a car for getting to classes, hair appointments, or even just hanging out with friends. When a teen has a wreck it is not always their fault sometimes it can be caused by a run red-light, ignoring a stop sign, or just a fender bender.
Raising the driving age would most likely be best against the GLD system. Though 16 year olds should have the freedom of having a license. All 50 states prohibit 16 year-olds from drinking alcohol, buying cigarettes, and purchasing handguns. So why hand them the keys to your big, black, jacked up Ford?
Whether it is raising the driving age to 18 or having to receive a GDL before you get to show off your nice Ford truck on the road drive safe. Don’t act like an idiot or show off to get a girl or guys attention.

Do you think that the driving age should be raised to 18? The driving age might be raised so that only 18 and up can drive. Do you want that to happen in every state? No, I do not want it raised.
It is not all teens fault when one gets in an accident so why punish them all and not just one teen. Teens need cars for work, school, and other stuff you should not make them wait for their license and make them walk to places. Statistics show that 77% of men are more likely to have an accident then women, so if you want to be safe why not only let women drive.
They should hire the age to 18 so teens can learn a little more before they drive. All 50stats do not let teens under 16 drink, buy cigarettes, and buy guns ,so why let them drive at 16 years old if they cannot drink or any of that other stuff? Between 1995 and 2004 there were 30,917 fatal accidents that involved 15 or 17 year old drivers according to the AAA foundation.
So do you want the age raised or not?
Do you want graduated licenses or the age raised to 18? I want graduated licenses its easy to get a GDL than to wait and drive. The government says all this stuff about the GDL but the GDL saved most teens lives.
Each year, car accidents result in more teen deaths than any other cause in effort to cut the number of driving accidents involving teens. Twenty six states have adopted GDL (Graduated licenses). According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, states using GDLs have a 5 to 15 percent drop in teen accidents.
GDLs give teens the experience step by step, often with adult supervision. This is much better, GDLs say, they let them drive after a few hours of instructions. GDLs vary from state to state they generally allow teens to earn their driving privileges gradually rather than all at once.
Supporters of GDLs say that they save lives opponents say that the licenses are ineffective. Many opponents questions the effectiveness of GDLs they note that GDLs restrictions reduce the number of teen drivers .Critics say that GDLs may increase teen accidents.
Do you want GDLs or age raised to 18.

YES and NO
The question is should the driving age be raised to 18? Drivers may get into accidents but that is why they call them Accidents. People worry about driving , especially teens, get paranoid and start thinking ,am I going to wreck ,am I going to wreck ,then they start swerving next thing you know they go on flipping on the road. They should worry less about how they drive. You need to stop talking about it unless you want more wrecks. That is mostly what happens. You talk, they worry, they wreck.
Most accidents are caused by the driver’s experience. Some students are mature and some…not so much. Driving should be for more mature students. The ones who party a lot or even party in general should have to wait to drive but the students who already know how to drive should not have their driving ability be took away. I know a lot of people who already know how to drive and are teens. Both of my big brothers know how to drive when they were 17.
Not many people want to let somebody die, and not do anything to help. When somebody that you love wrecks at the age of 16 then I could understand why you would step up and finally do something about it. Boys went for a drive. Does not really seem very dangerous. Boys went for a late night drive. Sounds like something bad is going to happen. Something bad did happen kind of suddenly. Car spun hit lots of things killed 2 boys. They should have been a more mature age like 18 and not 16.
I think that we should cut it in half (50-50) and say raise the age to 17. You can raise the driving age if it is with your driving school, but not for the whole United States of America. I think that we should lay off the driving for at least one week in the whole year because a week could never really hurt anyone. THE END
I think that they should go with the graduated license. Most people like the feeling that they can drive at the age of 16. The car that wrecked should have had a parent or an adult for the supervision in driving. I think that people under the age of 18 should have an adult in the car before they go driving on their own. I have my plan when I do drive without an adult.
: Always Have Your Seatbelt On
: Mirror Adjustment
: Make Sure That I Know What Everything Is
: Drive In The Speed Limit
I think that would help people should follow these steps and drive a lot safer. The driver should take precautionary measures. I think that a Graduated License would do a lot more too driving safety that waiting to drive. Because if they ever get pulled over then they could say that an adult was in the car. If there was not any adult then the driver would in my opinion would get a ticket.
They should get a Graduated License because it is way better than having to wait a full 2 years. Graduated License would not just help the driver but it would influence the driver to make good choices while driving. It may reduce the driving of teens but hey, you don’t have to drive if you don’t want to.
If the teens reduce on driving then they just would have to do what they have been doing. Take a taxi or the bus.
Let the teens do the thinking and let them take a vote. This is finally something that they could choose. What do you or the teens think? Wait to drive or get a Graduated License? THE END

Should the driving age be raised to 18? Yes, some young drivers might not be ready to be behind the wheel. No, raising the age is punishment for all young drivers for the mistakes of other peers.
Yes, the driving age should be raised to 18 years of age. They could not be ready to be behind the wheel. All 50 states do not allow 16 year old to drink, buy cigarettes, or own a handgun. But yet they let them be responsible for a car! Owning a car could be considered owning a deadly weapon. Between 1995 and 2004, there were 30,917 accidents that involved 15 to 17 year old. The article states, that raising the driving age may be considered burdensome to some people, but we have to remember that this is about safety, not convenience.
No, the driving age should not be raised to 18 years of age. It is punishment to all young drivers for the mistake of other peers. In this country, we live by innocent until proven guilty. In the article, people who want to raise the driving age, think that you are a danger to other drivers, and your license should be taken away. Studies show that inexperience, not age, causes accidents. Cars are necessary for mobility in this country, and taking that away is a disruption for teenagers.
Although both articles are very convincing, you really have to think of the consequences about raising the driving age. Will it decrease or increase wrecks? Or will it make wrecks even more dangerous? These questions could be going through your head right now. It is time to make a difference in this world even if it means raising the driving age.
Do teens need graduated licenses? Yes, I think teenagers should have a graduated license because then they would have the chance to practice skills they do not have the hang of yet.
The article states that some GDLs allow 16-year olds only to drive during certain daylight hours. I think that would help a little with the wrecks because not as many teens on the road, means not many people on the road with little experience. GDLs are just getting teens ready for the real thing in life. That is responsibility.
In the article it says that as teens gain experience, they learn more privileges. As teens practice driving on the roads, they are learning skills to be a good and safe driver. Without GDLs there would be many more wrecks than there already is. GDLs are a way to keep our world a safe place.
The author states in the article that graduated licenses gives teens that experience step, by step, often with adult supervision. If a teen is out on the road and they have a GDL, I think there should be an adult with them to help them with difficult events. After they pass the drivers’ test, they will be ready to drive on their own without any trouble because they had a GDL to help them along the way.
People believe that GDLs will not help reduce wrecks involving teenagers. But to me GDLs would help them along the way until they are ready for the real thing without help from anybody. When I get older I am most likely to get a GDL to help me while I practice my driving skills. It might not please you but soon I will try it.

Should the driving age be 18 yes or no?
Yes or no is the question? Lots of people are asking .what do you think take your chose about should the driving age be 18. Lots of people are saying you change the age for drinking, buying cigarettes, and purchasing a hand gun. So why not driving age.
In the paragraph ‘’Yes’’ that on Dec. 29, 2005 four boys had a late-night drive and had a terrible accident. Two of the boys were killed by a street pole. One boy was 16 yr. old and the other was 17yrs. Lots of people were asking, “What could prevent this from happening again?’’
In the article’’ Should driving age be 18 ‘’ it states that if your neighbor robes a bank should you be arrested for what he did . Or, if your class mate get in an accident should your driver’s license be taken away.it also states that 77 percent of people are more likely to kill someone while driving than woman.
In this article it is trying to show you each side to a story .It is showing good statement and points to each side. So think about it this weekend and chose what side you are for.
I say YES!!! I say we should have the (GDL) because it can save a lot of lives. It can also help them learn the rules of the road.
In the paragraph “Teens Need Time to Learn’’ according to (NHTSA) that states using (GDL)s 5-15% dropped in teens accidents . It also states that (AAA) teens account for only 7% of the drivers on the road but they are involved in 20% of all accidents reported to police.
In the article “Do teens need graduated licenses?” It says that (GDL) don’t work. Then how can the % s of wrecks go down .It does work in my opinion.
In this article it is trying to say yes/no and trying to confuse you. It tries to make you think that (GDLS) are worth less but they’re not. They can help us a lot in t life and impact on teen’s life.
I say YES that we should have (GDLS) it can save lives. I loved this article it can help you drive safe. So I say yes.

Yes, On dec. 29,2005, four teenage boys had a late – night drive. They got in a car accident .All of the boys’ was kill. They might not be ready to be behind the wheel. No, Sometimes it their falut .They might have been drinking and driving .Or they was just not ready drive. All 50 states not allow16 year olds to drink or ,buy cigarettes or to own a hand gun. Yes, They should put it up to 18 year old. They would be more careful. There would be least car accidents.16 year old now they do dumb stuff. They get their self hurt or very bad hurt. Should they make the law for 16 year old to 17 year old not to drive when there 18 year old. I think Yes, it is maybe least accidents and they would be more careful. But I think Yes, to some teenage people want to get a car and be free away from there house and stuff like that.
Do teens need graduated licenses?I think yes.
Do teens need graduated licenses? I think yes, there is 14 year old that look 18 or 16. If you get pulled over you need a licenses . You need to know. Always wear your seat belt . Need to know where everything is at. The article said GDLs system saves lives. Using GDLs have a 5 to 15 percent drops in teens accidents. Imposed teen driving skills restrictions in 1979 and saw the number of 16 year olds in fatal accidents triple by 1988. I want them to be safe and like so many teens died from a car accident . I think teens should drive in the day then the night .It takes so much money to buy a car. So do you think teens need a graduated licenses. Ask your self do they where more teens would be safe.

Should we, risk lives because teens ,at the age 16 and 17 can’t drive ? On Dec. 9, 4 teens were in a car it was nighttime and had a terrible accident .The car spun out of control and hit almost everything that was in its path .a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old died .The driver was only16-years of age .That’s a short time to live .He most likely wouldn’t have died that night if he/she was older ,say about 18.
And what is the answer to this problem? The article states that the answer is to raise the driving age to an older limit. I realize that this idea is controversial but I can’t watch another young teen die because he/she was not ready to get behind the wheel.
All 50 states say that teens are not aloud to drink ,buy cigarettes and buy hand guns .So they shouldn’t put them behind the wheel either . The article states that between 1995 and 2004 ther5e were 30,917 fatalities in about a third of these drivers who wreaked were teens them selves .
The article states that the AAA foundation conclude that the rest were pedestrians, passengers ,and normal people were struck. Having teens at 16-years-of age can kill innocent people. When the state sees that they didn’t think right and actually let kids drive they must stop!
NO, let us drive we have our own rights. The article states that we believe that just because of your birth date you are dangerous .But you are not.
The article also states that those who favor the adults raising age limits have more of a chance of getting a good more chance at a wreck themselves. Just because the teenagers are younger doesn’t mean that we are not responsible. Those teens deserve a right to.
The article says that what they don’t say is that 77 percent of men are likely to wreck than women . So here is how to stop the problem , let women drive. In my a pinion girls are better than boys.
Except raising the age limit won’t save lives . The article states that its inexperience that is killing people. Not the age limit.
SOP, let us drive we are able to do it. We aren’t babies.
Do teens need a graduated licenses ? Yes we need to have a licenses for these kids .Or No we don’t need it .They can handle it.
The article states that for only 7 percent of accidents are the drivers on the road but they are 20 percent are that people have reported to the police.
According to the article the National Highway traffic Safety says that GLD’s have 5 to 15% in drop in teens accidents if they have a graduated licenses.
The GLD’s association has been working for years on how to save lives .And have said that as teens gain experience they earn more privileges.
So which one do you think yes or no . Teens can handle themselves or no, they need help to not kill them selves.

Are you almost 16 if so you are probable ready to get your license. You may not get to do that until your 18 years old because of other peoples mistakes. The good thing about this is there are two sides to this.
The people in favor of bumping up the driving age say that statistics show that teens are more likely to get in an accident than adults but, the this that did not come up in this is that men are 77% more likely to kill someone in a car than women. If they are trying to protect peoples lifes then only let women drive. Teens also need to drive so their parents do not have to drive them to work, school, sports, or just to hang out with friends.
On the other hand, on December 29, 2009 four teenage boys there in a terrible accident and two boys a 16 and 17 year old died the driver was only 16. This opened a lot of peoples eyes to the danger of teens on the roads. People also have this point all 50 states do not let 16 year olds drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, or have hand-guns because they can hart them selves or other people but they make it okay for 16 year old to drive and have the ability to kill some one else.
So when you get your license please be careful. Also think about the other people on the roads.
A lot of teens today can not wait to get their license, so they can go where ever when ever they want. The bad thing about this is that teens are more likely to get in accident then adults. This is very dangerous for everyone on the road at this time.
Graduated Drivers Licenses (GDL) allows teens to get their license little by little instead of all at once. This teaches teens how to drive and not kill someone. Our current programs do not teach teens how to drive they teach them how to pass a driving test.
The other option is to bump the driving age up to 18 witch kind of defeats the whole idea of the GDL. Maybe some of them will grow up a little but some of them will not and we will be in the same boat as the 16 year olds driving.
I think we should give teens GDL because one they will get the same amount of teaching that they would get if they where 16 as if they were 18. The other reason that they should give teens GLD is they are getting to do what they what to do in a safer way.
When you get your license when ever or how that is please be save and pay attention to others.

Should driving age be raised to 18? Yes, it is dangerous for teenagers. No, it won’t save lives.
No, in the article raising the driving age won’t save lives. Studies show that it is inexperience, not age, that causes accidents. Raising the driving age will just create inexperienced accident-prone drivers at 18 instead of 16.
Yes, the article states thousand people began asking what could be done to prevent this from happening again. The answer is raising driving age. That’s why I introduced legislation to raise the driving age in Illinois from 16 to 18. I realize this idea is controversial, but I could not stand by and watch one more young person die because he or she was not quite ready to be behind the wheel.
So, is teenage driving dangerous? Should driving age be raised. Or will it not save lives.
Do teens need graduated licenses? Yes, they need time to learn to drive. If they don’t they can get into serious accidents.
The article states according to the American Automobile association, teens account for only 7 percent of the drivers on the road. They are involved in 20 percent of all accidents reported to the police. That’s because many teens do not have the road experience necessary to make safe driving decisions.
According to the article, each year car accidents result in more teen deaths than any other cause. In an effort to cut the number of driving accidents involving teens, 26 states have adopted graduated drivers licenses. Six of those states passed new GDLs laws this year and many others are also considering GDLs.
The article states GDL systems vary from state to state. They generally allow teens to earn driving privileges gradually, rather than all at once. For instance, some GDLs allow 16-year-olds to drive only during certain daylight hours, others require them to drive with an adult for a set number of hours, before receiving a licenses.
So do teens need graduated licenses? If they don’t they can get into serious accidents. They need GDLs.

~ YES Between 1995 and 2004, there were 30,917 fatalities in accidents that involved 15-17 year-old drivers, according to a study by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety. A third of those deaths were teen drivers themselves . The rest were pedestrians, passengers, and people in the cars that teenagers struck.
On December 29, 2005, for teenage boys from Chicago went out for a late night drive and had a terrible accident. The car spun out of control and struck several objects , including a light pole. Two of the boys a 16 year-old and a 17 year -old were killed . The driver of the car was just 16. After this tragic accident , thousands of people began asking what could be done to prevent this from happening again.

All 50 states prohibit 16 year-olds from drinking alcohol, buying cigarettes, and purchasing handguns. Yet somehow most states are willing to put them in charge of a car, which could potentially be a deadly weapon.
~NO
If your neighbor robs a bank should you go to jail? No. If your classmate gets in an accident should your driver’s license be taken away? Of course not. Neither situation is fair. Raising the driving age will punish all young drivers for the mistakes of a few of their peers.
In this country we live by the principle of innocent until proven guilty. Those who want to raise the driving age have labeled teens before they’ve gotten into an accident or before they’ve even stepped into a car. They believe just because of your birthdate, you are dangerous and must be punished by having your ability to drive taken away from you.
What they don’t say is that statistics also show that men of all ages are 77 present more likely to kill someone while driving more than women. If people want to save lives by raising the driving age then how about letting women drive.
